What we do for Marietta yards
We’ve worked across Marietta and East Cobb for years — patios off the back of ranch houses near Powers Ferry, drainage on the sloped lots around the square, weekly mowing through Smyrna and Vinings. It’s about thirty minutes from our yard in Tucker, and we’re in Cobb most weeks of the season.
Cobb slopes are why most calls start with water.
Marietta lots tend to fall away from the house, and the clay underneath holds water rather than taking it. That combination is behind more of our Cobb work than anything else. It usually starts as “the back yard stays wet” and ends as buried downspout runs to a pop-up emitter, an NDS catch basin where the low spot collects, or a gravel-wrapped French drain in filter fabric so it doesn’t silt up in five years. Where the ground itself is pitched wrong, Bobcat regrading resets the fall.
Retaining walls, with the drainage behind them.
A slope that keeps moving wants a wall, and Marietta has plenty of both. We build modular block and stacked boulder retaining walls — compacted crushed-and-run base, filter fabric, wall drains, perforated pipe along the back, gravel infill, geo-grid on anything tall. Drainage goes in behind every wall we build; it’s the reason walls fail when it’s skipped. And if the slope doesn’t need a wall, we’ll say so — deep-rooted junipers and groundcover hold a hillside for a fraction of the cost.
Weekly maintenance on a set route.
Because we’re in Cobb on fixed days, Marietta customers get the same crew on the same rhythm as everyone else — mow, edge the drive and walks, blow the hard surfaces, tidy the bed lines, trim shrubs while we’re already there. Most properties sit on 36 visits a year, some 43, a few 51. Billing is level monthly so it doesn’t spike in June. See lawn care.
The bigger projects.
Paver and flagstone patios and walkways, natural stone steps set so the rise stays even down a slope, pergolas on posts over concrete footings, fire pit kits on a prepped base. Once grading is right, new sod — Zoysia for part shade, TifTuf Bermuda only in real sun.
Where in Marietta we work.
East Cobb, Powers Ferry, Vinings, Smyrna and the streets around Marietta Square, plus the Roswell side of the county. We reach Marietta from Tucker, so we’re honest about travel: anything much further west we’ll still quote, and we’ll say plainly if the drive makes a closer company the better call.
